Task

We installed a large 50m x 21m mothergrid inside ITV’s new bespoke televisions studio in Bovingdon. It used 200m of Prolyte B100RV high specification truss, 32 Liftket 2T double fall hoists with 32 Kinesys 4.75t Libra Cells monitored by a libra pro system for complete load monitoring of the whole grid.

By covering most of the available studio space all incoming productions are able to benefit from the installation while offering the flexibility to achieve anything that they require of the space.

Build

The build allows for a much quicker installation of incoming productions by allowing any rigging activities to take place at ground level. Once completed the grid is lifted and secured at height. This also significantly limits the amount of work that is needed to be taken at height.

Incoming productions benefit from reduced load in times which gives the possibility of smaller shows with short build times being able to make use of the studio, by avoid the otherwise necessary prolonged set up time.

We remain an on site presence to assist all incoming productions with whatever their requirements might be.
